Sushi Rice
ARCHE organic sushi rice is ideal for making your own organic sushi rolls. The white Selenio rice from the north-west of Italy is easy to work with and is comparable to Japanese sushi rice in terms of its properties. The fine, round grains of rice swell during cooking and stick together well. Sushi rice is also ideal as a side dish for Thai curries or in Asian wok and stir-fry dishes. Original Asian: ARCHE organic sushi rice is easy to eat with chopsticks.
Place 1 cup of rice in a pan with cold water, wash thoroughly, drain and leave to drain in a sieve. Bring the rice to the boil with 1 3/4 times the amount of fresh water and leave to swell over a low heat for 10 minutes. Remove from the heat and leave to swell for a further 10 minutes. Process according to the recipe or season for sushi rice.
