Soja Snack-Edamame - Green Shell (Saatgut)
Edamame is a special type of soy that is eaten fresh. It is harvested like sugar snap peas and briefly cooked together with the pod. The "Green Shell" variety forms particularly large grains, is robust and uncomplicated to grow. It should be sown in well-heated soil to a depth of approx. 2 cm. As the harvest period is rather short at approx. 10 days, it is advisable to sow several rows at staggered intervalsTIP: Classic preparation of this special snack soybean edamame: Place fresh (or frozen) pods in lightly salted boiling water, cook for 8 - 12 minutes to taste, drain in a pasta strainer and place in a bowl while hot. Sprinkle with coarse salt and enjoy. The pods are not eaten with the pasta, but are "pulled out" with feeling.
Sowing: Beginning of April - end of JuneHarvest time: Beginning of August - end of SeptemberContent is sufficient for approx. 60 plants. Planting distance: 50 x 5 cmPlease store seeds in a dry, cool and dark place! Seeds not suitable for consumption.
