ÖMA Allgäuer Raclette Scheiben, Bioland - SB
For a successful raclette, you need an aromatic, spicy raclette cheese and nice guests. Our ÖMA Allgäuer Raclette cheese impresses with its variety of flavors and its particularly creamy texture. Made from the best organic milk from the surrounding Allgäu meadows, it matures for at least 6 weeks and is cultivated with red culture, which gives it its spicy taste. ÖMA Allgäuer Raclette is traditionally used in raclette pans and also cuts a fine figure when gratinated. As practical slices in a shelf space-saving and resealable freshness box, it can be enjoyed in no time at all. If you like the cheese stronger, you can simply melt the edible rind with it. Guests are happy to stay a little longer for this treat. Gently rolling hills, lush green meadows and the typical brown cattle characterize the landscape around the ÖMA production facility in Kimratshofen in the Bavarian Allgäu. Here, the company can look back on a long tradition of milk processing, the foundations of which were laid in 1960 with the founding of the Kimratshofen-Frauenzell milk processing plant. The merger with two other dairies in 2010 created Allgäu Milch Käse eG - AllMiKäs for short. Due to the close cooperative ties with the supplier farmers, there is a deep rootedness and connection with the region, which is reflected in social commitment, sustainable management and careful use of resources. In recent years, master cheesemaker Hubert Dennenmoser has invested 5 million euros in energy, water and waste water, which has enabled the cheese dairy to achieve an excellent energy balance with savings of 30-40% in energy and water consumption per kilo of cheese. Among other things, this was achieved by installing its own wind power plant, its own combined heat and power plant and a solar system. The area of land farmed organically by the organic farmers is also impressive at over 3,500 hectares.
ÖMA Allgäuer Raclette is, of course, traditionally used for melting in the raclette pan. It also adds a tasty, spicy note when gratinating other dishes. Lovers of smooth, spicy cheeses will also enjoy it cold.
