Green spelt is a unique grain made from green-harvested spelt. It is carefully hulled from demeter spelt at Spielberger Mühle and gently dried to preserve its characteristic nutty flavor and smoky note. Green spelt was originally harvested as a young, not yet fully ripened spelt grain and is suitable for many creative dishes thanks to its special method of preparation.thanks to its nutty and slightly smoky note, green spelt is a wonderful ingredient for soups, stews, salads or as a side dish to meat and vegetable dishes. Green spelt can also be used as a filling for vegetables or in vegetarian casseroles and is a popular choice in vegetarian cuisine. Due to its special aroma, green spelt can also be used in savory purees or as an ingredient in burger patties.
Basic recipe: Cook green spelt in plenty of boiling water or stock for approx. 30 minutes until it is soft and firm to the bite. green spelt is ideal for soups, stews, salads or as a side dish to meat and vegetable dishes.
