Spelt couscous is the healthy version of classic couscous and is made from spelt. Spelt is an ancient grain that is becoming increasingly popular due to its nutty flavor and good digestibility. The couscous is prepared with care and in several steps so that its valuable nutrients are preserved in the best possible way, and its ease of processing makes spelt particularly popular with people who like to work with wholesome ingredients and value traditional flavors. The combination of its strong character and mild flavor makes it a versatile grain in wholesome cuisine.

Basic recipe: Pour the same amount of boiling water or stock over the spelt couscous, cover and leave to soak for approx. 5 minutes. Then fluff up with a fork. A typical portion of couscous is around 60-80 g per person when served as a side dish. For a main course or if the couscous is used as the main ingredient in a salad or other dish, you can plan on about 100 g per person.Spelt couscous is ideal as a side dish with vegetables, stews, meat dishes or in salads.
