We use the best organic buckwheat for our wholemeal buckwheat flour. The pseudo-cereal is ground in several steps with the greatest care and sensitivity to produce this wholemeal flour, which contains all the valuable components of the grain. Buckwheat has an aromatic, nutty taste and is a specialty that is particularly popular in Eastern Europe and is suitable for pancakes, waffles or blinis, for example.Although the name -buckwheat- contains wheat, it is by no means a real grain. In reality, buckwheat belongs to the pseudo-cereal family and plays a particularly important role in gluten-free and vegetarian/vegan diets.buckwheat's triangular seeds are surrounded by a hard husk that is inedible and must be removed. Only specialized hulling mills can do this efficiently without damaging the valuable mineral-rich seed coat. However, many of the tender grains are broken during hulling and are processed into high-quality buckwheat flour.
Buckwheat wholemeal flour can be used on its own or in mixtures for pancakes, waffles, blinis or cakes. Mix buckwheat flour with other flours for breads or other yeast pastries.
