Our demeter jasmine rice is a masterpiece of traditional agriculture and sustainable commitment. In the north-eastern province of Amnat Charoen in Thailand, it has been grown biodynamically on 73 hectares since 2023 - the world's first certified demeter jasmine rice. The 15 small farmers involved cultivate their fields with the utmost care, supported by training in biodynamic cultivation and high-quality seed equipment. This project ensures a reliable income for the farmers and at the same time preserves the natural resources of the region.our jasmine rice delights with its floral, aromatic fragrance and its versatility in the kitchen. Whether as a side dish to curries, in rice pans or casseroles - its taste harmonizes perfectly with a wide variety of dishes, especially in Asian cuisine. After harvesting, the rice is gently cleaned, hulled and the silver skin surrounding the kernel is carefully polished. This process preserves the full aroma and fine texture of the rice grain, and not only the cultivation but also the packaging stands for sustainability. The rice is packaged in 100% recyclable paper made from wood from European forests. The mineral oil-free, water-based printing inks ensure that the packaging can be completely disposed of in waste paper and recycled. Through our partnership with Bergwaldprojekt e.V., we plant new trees in local forests every year, maintain existing stands and promote the natural regeneration of the forest. In this way, we offset paper consumption and actively contribute to the restoration and preservation of our forests. Basic recipe: Boil one cup of rice with 1 1/2 cups of lightly salted water, then cover and simmer for 10-15 minutes.
