Grünkernschrot, demeter
Grünkernschnrot is made from green-harvested spelt, which is carefully ground in the Spielberg mill to preserve the nutty, slightly smoky aromas of the green spelt. This coarsely processed schnrot is particularly suitable for a variety of savory dishes. Grünkernschnrot contains all the valuable components of the grain, which are retained during the grinding process and therefore provide the full flavor.Grünkernschnrot is ideal for preparing stews, soups or as a base for vegetarian burgers or fillings. It is also excellent in casseroles or as a side dish to vegetable and meat dishes. The nutty taste and versatility of green spelt bread make it a valuable ingredient in healthy and varied cuisine.
Basic recipe: Cook the green spelt in plenty of boiling water or stock for approx. 20-25 minutes until it is soft and well cooked.Green spelt is ideal for soups, stews, vegetarian patties or as a filling in casseroles and vegetables.
