Amaranth, glutenfrei, demeter
Amaranth has been valued in various cultures for more than 5000 years and is now known as a superfood. Its nutty taste and ease of processing make it a valuable ingredient in wholesome cuisine, and amaranth from demeter cultivation is carefully cleaned and processed at Spielberger Mühle. The small seed can be prepared as a side dish, in muesli, in smoothies or as porridge. Amaranth is not only versatile in its preparation, but also a good choice for people who value sustainable and natural products due to its origin and processing. To ensure that the gluten content of gluten-free amaranth is guaranteed to be below 20 ppm (20 mg/kg) gluten, it is carefully kept separate from all gluten-containing products and analyzed several times. To this end, the mill ensures strictly separate product flows and separate production lines. The products only leave the mill once the last analysis has confirmed that they are gluten-free.
Basic recipe: Boil amaranth in 2-3 parts water for approx. 15-20 minutes until it is swollen.amaranth is ideal for porridge, as a side dish, in muesli or for smoothies. It can also be used for flaking or in baked goods.
