Apfelpektin, glutenfrei
The vegan gelling agent ARCHE Apple Pectin gels particularly quickly and elastically. The preparation of sugar-free or sugar-reduced spreads is possible with ARCHE apple pectin. The apple pectin is produced from apple juice pomace. The so-called non-amidated pectin (E440i) is approved for the production of organic fruit spreads according to EU-BIO-VO.
Preparation: For fruit spreads, mix the contents of the bag with up to 500 g of sweetener. Add the juice of one lemon to the 1.3 kg of chopped fruit. Bring everything to the boil and simmer for 3-5 minutes, stirring constantly. For jelly, we recommend using 0.75 - 1 liter of fruit juice with 500 g of sugar and the juice of one lemon. For optimum gelling, mix very sour fruit with sweet fruit and omit the lemon juice. Sugar-reduced spreads are successful with apple pectin, but do not keep as long.
