This fine, gluten-free corn starch is ideal for baking, desserts, creams and cold dishes as well as for thickening sauces and soups.
Preparation:Stir the cornflour into cold liquid and then stir into the boiling liquid. To thicken sauces and soups, you need approx. 4 level tablespoons (40 g) of starch per liter of liquid. Approx. 90 g starch per liter of liquid is required for flummeries and porridge, and approx. 60 g for creams.Recipe recommendation: Sand cakeMix 250 g butter with 200 g sugar and 1 packet of vanilla sugar until creamy. Separate 4 eggs into yolks and whites. Add the egg yolks to the butter mixture and continue to mix. Mix 300 g of type 405 wheat flour with 100 g of cornflour and 1 packet of Reinweinstein baking powder and stir into the egg yolk mixture alternately with 125 ml of milk. Finally, fold in the stiffly beaten egg whites. Pour the batter into a greased, floured bundt tin and bake in a preheated oven at 175 °C (fan oven) for approx. 60 minutes.
