This natural rock salt was formed more than 200 million years ago when the primordial oceans dried out and is now stored at a depth of 400 - 750 m underground, protected from environmental influences. Natur Hurtig's rock salt comes from one of the oldest salt domes in central Germany. It is mined, gently ground in traditional grinding mills and carefully sieved. Recognized institutes monitor the quality.
