Virgin coconut oil - natural & highly heatable. BIO PLANÈTE's versatile virgin coconut oil has a long tradition: we were one of the first manufacturers to offer high-quality virgin coconut oil from the Philippines in natural food stores back in 2006. Our coconut oil is cold-pressed freshly harvested from the flesh of fully ripe organic coconuts. The oil is natural and neither bleached, hardened nor deodorized. The coconuts are grown and processed according to strict organic standards. Our aim is to minimize the ecological footprint of the production of our oils as much as possible. For BIO PLANÈTE, this is an ongoing process involving many small steps, which is particularly evident in the case of coconut oil. In addition to a new, more sustainable packaging design for our coconut jars, the "OFT LÄNGER GUT" label from Too Good To Go helps to prevent food waste.
The oil is particularly heat-resistant and ideal for frying, baking or preparing in a wok. With its subtle aroma of fresh coconut, it adds a slightly exotic note to savory dishes such as chicken and Thai curry, as well as desserts. It is becoming increasingly popular among vegans, e.g. as a spread. The oil, which has been valued in Ayurveda for many centuries, is also very popular today as a cosmetic for skin and hair.
Zum Braten geeignet.Kokosöl ist bei Temperaturen bis ca. 25° C fest. Zum Schmelzen ins warme Wasserbad stellen.
