Caws Cenarth is a traditional Welsh family cheese maker based on Glyneithinog farm in the picturesque valley of the River Cych in West Wales. The company was founded in 1987 by Gwynfor and Thelma Adams in response to the milk quotas introduced at the time, which posed economic challenges for many farmers. They drew on a family tradition of cheese making going back six generations to 1903, when Carwyn Adams' great-great-grandmothers produced cheese for their own use and local markets. Today, Caws Cenarth is one of the best known artisan cheese producers in the UK.
