The buckwheat from Spielberger Mühle is carefully hulled after harvesting and processed in gentle steps. Although it is not botanically a true grain, buckwheat is used in the kitchen in a very similar way. The triangular grains are characterized by a fine, nutty aroma and a delicate consistency after cooking.Spielberger Mühle pays particular attention to gentle processing so that the natural properties of the grain are preserved as completely as possible.Buckwheat is ideal for a variety of preparations - whether as a warm side dish, in patties, as a soup garnish, in salads or roasted as a crunch in muesli. It can also be used freshly ground or crushed in pancakes, porridges or baked goods. Buckwheat traditionally has a firm place in many Eastern European and Asian cuisines and impresses with its universal versatility.
Basic recipe: Rinse buckwheat briefly with hot water before cooking, then bring to the boil with twice the amount of water, cook over a low heat for 15-20 minutes.buckwheat is suitable boiled as a side dish, for patties or casseroles, roasted for muesli, ground for pancakes, porridge or pastries.
