The delicious mackerel comes from the South East Pacific. There they are caught sustainably - certified according to the strict guidelines of the MSC. Left in its natural state, in its own juice, the tender, fine meat enriches vegetable dishes, tastes good with a snack and is an alternative to canned tuna. followfood MSC mackerel is the only MSC-certified mackerel on the market. It is caught particularly efficiently as the mackerel is a schooling fish. The stock is therefore very dense and it takes very little effort to catch enough fish. This keeps the CO2 footprint small and has less impact on nature and our climate than other fish species and fishing methods. Thanks to the MSC certification of the fishing method and the fishing areas, the stock is healthy and stable.
