Bio Mie-Noodles
The dough for our delicious organic mie noodles is stirred rather than shaken. The Mie noodle dough is initially very crumbly, like a cookie dough, before it starts to come together. It is then pressed into extra-long strands of dough and left to rest for a while before being rolled out several times to make it thinner and thinner and finally cut into thin threads of dough with fine knives, after which the noodles are preserved with plenty of steam. In our unique production process, the noodles are not fried, as is usual in Asian production, but simply steamed with hot water* This special type of "pre-cooking" means that the Mie Noodles only have to cook briefly in the cooking pot at home, and finally the Mie Noodles are brought into their typical block shape before the moisture is gently removed again during the drying process.
