Even the Māori, the indigenous people of New Zealand, were aware of the extraordinary properties of the manuka shrub. This honey is produced from the South Sea myrtle, the manuka tree. It has a robust, spicy flavor, an intense resinous aroma, and a delicate caramel-brown color. With a slightly minty finish, it enchants all the senses. Tip from our beekeeper: Manuka honey is best enjoyed on an empty stomach, either pure or dissolved in lukewarm water or milk. Never mix it with hot liquids. MGO 250+
