Sugo Antico

The secret of the high quality of La Macina Ligure sauces is the care, skill and passion with which they are traditionally made by hand without any additives from the best raw materials. The diced onions are sautéed in plenty of extra virgin olive oil until golden brown. A tomato passata with a high Brix content made from Italian tomatoes is then added to create a sweet taste. The other ingredients are then added, depending on the sauce. The sauces are ready to use and require no further refinement. Of course, you can combine the sugo with other ingredients to suit your taste.

Sugo Antico is a fantastic basic sauce that is enjoyed by many Italian families. Aromatically balanced, it is also suitable for children's palates. Sugo Antico can be wonderfully varied with many ingredients, such as seafood.
