We use high-quality buckwheat for our porridge flakes. In our flake mill, we first carefully steam the whole grain to make it smooth and then roll it into a nice flake. Our selected mixture of buckwheat flakes, rice flakes and buckwheat flour produces a creamy, hearty porridge. The buckwheat gives the porridge a very special, slightly tart, delicately nutty taste. Buckwheat is particularly rich in valuable protein, as well as filling fiber, B vitamins and minerals such as iron, calcium and potassium.
Preparation: Boil 200 ml water, milk or plant-based drink and stir in 50 g (4 tbsp) buckwheat porridge flakes and a pinch of salt. Bring the porridge to the boil briefly, turn off the hob and continue to stir the porridge for approx. 1-2 minutes, depending on how thick you want it to be. Pour the porridge into a deep plate or bowl. Sweeten to taste. Tip: Refine your porridge with a dash of cream, some fruit or a crunchy topping, e.g. a mixture of Spielberger pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds and sesame seeds.
