10 Fischstäbchen in Bio-Panade, Fischstäbchen aus Alaska-Seelachsfilet in Bio-Panade, praktisch grätenfrei, aus Blöcken geschnitten, vorgebraten, tiefgekühlt.
Fish sticks have fans in probably all age groups for a reason. Juicy Alaska pollock fillet from sustainable fishing, coated in a crispy, golden yellow organic breading. Who can resist the Alaska pollock for the followfood fish sticks comes from the FAO 67 fishing area (North East Pacific). The Northeast Pacific - more precisely the Gulf of Alaska and the Eastern Bering Sea. The population there is stable and strict management ensures that the fishing pressure remains below the specified reference values, which represent the amount of fish taken from the sea. In addition to good management, it is important that fishing is very selective. Our fishermen have hardly any by-catches - on average, 98% of the catch consists of the target species, Alaska pollock. Both factors, management and selectivity, are crucial for the sustainability of the fishery. And this has practically become a tradition here. In 2005, the US Alaska pollock fisheries were one of the first in the world to be awarded the MSC seal for sustainable fishing practices, and in the Northwest Pacific - more specifically in the Sea of Okhotsk - fishing mainly takes place in winter and spring from January to early April. During this pre-spawning and main spawning season, Alaska pollock form dense aggregations of fish. The fishery in this fishing area is very selective and has almost no bycatch. This means that 99% of the catch consists of Alaska pollack. The stock is completely in the green zone in terms of both management targets for fishing pressure and population size.
