Amaranth is naturally gluten-free. To ensure that the gluten content of our gluten-free amaranth flakes is guaranteed to be below 20 ppm (20 mg/kg) gluten, they are carefully kept separate from all products containing gluten and analyzed several times. To achieve this, we ensure strictly separate product flows and separate production lines in our mill. The products only leave our premises once the last analysis has confirmed that they are gluten-free. We use glassine paper as an ecological and safe packaging solution for our gluten-free products. This is very dense and has a grease barrier. We use a complete inner bag made of this paper for our bags for gluten-free products. It offers sufficient protection against subsequent contamination. Because it is made of 100% paper, it can be easily disposed of with the waste paper. We produce our gluten-free amaranth flakes with the utmost care in our own flake mill. There, the whole grain is steamed and then rolled into a nice flake. This preserves all the valuable ingredients of the whole grain. The tiny grains of amaranth produce particularly small flakes. Amaranth is a valuable source of protein and tastes delicately nutty. Our Spielberg amaranth comes from a Demeter smallholder initiative in the north of India. Here, several hundred farmers are mainly self-sufficient. Their surpluses are collected through a local initiative and marketed together. This gives many Indian farmers a sustainable opportunity for a healthy and economic future. A great project that we are happy to support.
Our amaranth flakes can be enjoyed without cooking or soaking. Simply mix with yogurt, milk, plant-based alternatives or juice and enjoy warm or cold. Refine as desired, for example with fresh fruit, dried fruit, nut butter, jam, honey or spices. In addition to the classic use as a muesli ingredient, flakes also taste great in baked goods such as cookies, muesli bars or bread, in desserts, but also in savory dishes such as soups and patties; Recipe: Sports muesli200 g amaranth flakes, 100 g oat flakes, 50 g chopped almonds, 30 g cranberries or goji berries, 20 g wheat branMix all ingredients, store in a sealed container and prepare in portions.
