Dill seeds have a germination period of approx. 2 weeks and should only be thinly covered with soil. Dill needs a sunny spot in the garden, but is also dependent on a good water supply. Only grow in the same place every second or third year. Dill is a good intercropping partner for cucumbers, carrots or onions, for example. Sowing in pots or balcony boxes is particularly easy with the seed discs. Fill the container with soil to approx. 2 cm below the rim and press down. Place the seed disc on top, water well, cover thinly with soil or sand, moisten again and do not allow to dry out until germination. "TIP": Leave individual plants to flower. Their yellow, filigree umbels look pretty and are a feast for many insects. Dill self-seeds in suitable locations.
