ÖMA Rigatino, Naturland - Laib
ÖMA Rigatino is a typical Italian hard cheese, as found in southern Italy and Sardinia. In contrast to the hard cheeses produced there from sheep's milk, ÖMA Rigatino is made from cow's milk using traditional methods. It develops its distinctive flavor during its maturing period of at least 3 months, with the best care in the cheese cellar. ÖMA Rigatino is therefore suitable for versatile use in the kitchen for pasta and other Italian dishes. Thanks to its excellent melting properties, ÖMA Rigatino can also be easily processed into cheese potato chips. To do this, coarsely grate the ÖMA Rigatino, place small heaps on a baking tray and bake at 150 °C for approx. 5 minutes. Then sprinkle with a spice mix from Sonnentor or Herbaria - done! Tip for counter presentation: Cut the ÖMA Rigatino horizontally to create 2 halves. This gives you an excellent view of the cheese paste, allows you to present it attractively with a Parmesan cheese cutter and also allows you to cut handy pieces of cake for sale.Delicious tip: Crema di Balsamico from LaSelva, TuscanyIn addition to the mozzarella specialties, ÖMA Cottage Cheese and the hard cheese specialties ÖMA Rigatino and ÖMA Rotondo are produced at the ÖMA production site in Amberg. The organic milk required for processing is collected from the 101 Naturland-certified farms by milk collection truck. The combination of many years of experience and modern technology is decisive for the consistently high quality and exceptionally good taste of these products.
ÖMA Rigatino is unique in its dough consistency and taste and is therefore an absolute enrichment for the domestic and gastronomic cheese selection.
