Cornflakes, glutenfrei, demeter
The cornflakes are produced using the traditional rolling process. This is particularly gentle and produces uniquely crispy flakes. The best blossom honey gives the cornflakes a subtle sweetness. In the traditional rolling process, the grain is cooked - either with just a little salt or sweetened, e.g. with honey, depending on taste. The grain is then rolled out, dried and roasted. The flakes then have a residual moisture content of 2-4% and are particularly crispy. Extruded breakfast cereals are now more widespread and give muesli, desserts and other dishes a crunchy note.
Delicious with milk, yoghurt and fresh fruit or processed into chocolate crossies or flaky cookies.Recipe: Chocolate crossies Chop 350 g chocolate coating (dark or milk, depending on taste) and melt in a bain-marie. Add 1 sachet of vanilla sugar and 25 g butter and stir until smooth. Remove the chocolate mixture from the heat, leave to cool slightly and carefully stir in 200 g cornflakes. Using small spoons, place the cornflakes chocolate crossies on a baking tray lined with baking paper or a silicone mat and leave to set.
