ORA Caffè is a classic Italian - and therefore dark - roasted coffee made from 100% Arabica beans. Traditionally roasted slowly in a drum roaster at a maximum temperature of 220°C for approx. 15 minutes. This allows the various aromas to mature during roasting and reduces the unpleasantly acidic chlorogenic acid. For a decaffeinated coffee, it has a full, balanced aroma. Its grind is adjusted so that it harmonizes perfectly with portafilter machines. It passes through the portafilter more slowly than other coffee powders, allowing its full-bodied aroma to come to the fore. Ideal for bistros and cafés that want to offer their customers the best decaffeinated coffee. Easy to handle because the portafilter is simply filled with a spoon. The caffeine in ORA Caffè decaffeinated is removed using the CO2 process. It is environmentally friendly and leaves no harmful substances in the coffee. In this process, green coffee softened with steam is flushed with fluid CO2. This CO2 is highly reactive and releases the caffeine from the bean. After the process, the CO2 is compressed, extracted and reused.
