Herbaria red onions in Bioland quality come from a versatile Bioland family farm in the Wittelsbacher Land region. The farm's good loose soils are particularly important for cultivation - even during the increasingly frequent dry periods, this ensures good and healthy development of the cultivated plants, without any artificial fertilizers. Due to the special drying process, the red onions are particularly mild and are therefore usually better tolerated than raw onions. The taste is spicy and fruity, with a slight roasted aroma. Red onions are an excellent healthy alternative to classic roasted onions and are therefore ideal as a topping, e.g. for cheese spaetzle, on sandwiches or in a soup, as the onion pieces soften again.
